Charlotte Ann Cox

Cox Elementary School is named for Charlotte Ann Cox who taught for more than 24 years in Leander ISD, mostly in the fifth and sixth grades. She taught at Faubion Elementary, the Giddens Sixth Grade School and at both Leander and Cedar Park middle schools. She is remembered by her students and colleagues as "the consummate teacher," someone who cared deeply for a generation of students, and a teacher who constantly went "above and beyond" to help other teachers become better educators. She died of cancer in 1999.
