Fathers and Father-figures,
On Mon., Sept. 29th from 6:30–7:30 PM we will be having our annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our school. You will meet at the school cafeteria at 6:30 PM for FREE pizza and drinks. At 7:00 PM we will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S. ® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. The goal is to have these men spend at least one day a year at the school to be an extra set of eyes and ears as a positive male role model.

Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . . . this is your chance to have a night out alone with your student in a fun atmosphere at school.

|Cox Elementary Backpack Food Program
“Nourishing the bodies that nourish the minds!”
Learn More About the Program
The Backpack Program provides kid friendly meals for students in need at Cox Elementary. Each Friday, children in the program are provided enough food for 6 meals and 4 snacks for the weekend. For some kids, this is the only food they have.
Let’s Do the TXconnect two-step!
Learn more and register!
The district's online tool, txConnect, allows LISD parents to easily monitor their child's achievement throughout the school year. LISD parents can use txConnect to access their child's grades and assignments, view and print their child's interim progress reports and report cards, view their child's STAAR results, immunizations, attendance and student discipline reports. And beginning this year, parents can use txConnect to view, update and print first-day packet forms. Connecting to your child's learning through txConnect is a simple, two-step process.
Progress Reports and Report Cards Now Available in Electronic Format
Parents of elementary students in third, fourth and fifth grades have the option to view and print their child(ren)’s interim progress reports and report cards by using txConnect, rather than receiving paper copies in their student’s Wednesday folder. To receive electronic grade reports, parents must follow two steps. First, parents will need to set up or login to their txConnect account, and second, register to receive these reports by following the instructions (also available at www.leanderisd.org
and on your child’s campus website). If parents select this option, parents will be notified by email as soon as the interim progress reports and report cards are available in txConnect. These reports will be replaced every grading period when new reports are produced. The grade reports on txConnect will look identical to those that are sent home. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your campus registrar, Kathryn Proulx at 512.570.6015 or email@example.com
